About Baba Seahorse Baby & Toddler Swim School
David Salt MSTA and Lauraine West ASTA ran their first lesson over 6 years ago at June 2005 at Esporta Wolverhampton.
In 2010 we moved our office from home to lovely rented office at The Cleobury Country Centre, and now employ a team to help deliver the teaching programme at our locations.

Training
We take great pride in making sure we are all trained, that any user of our pools are safe, and best of all, that we can teach classes for any age from birth upwards.
All teachers have received either the STA, or ASA, teacher training qualifications. All new teachers receive practical Teacher Training with David (CoFounder Teacher) before teaching their own classes. This helps to ensure that, if it is possible, parents and children can spend time with their 'new' teacher first, that teachers understand the Baba Seahorse ethos to a structured and flexible approach to running classes, and that we can provide additional advise to parents when required.
We all attend regular Team Meetings (Pool Health & Safety Training, New Games, New Ideas, Customer Feedback); we attend Pool Safety Lifeguard / Emergency training; all certificates are kept up to date with additional training, and revalidation.

We use the Swimming Teachers Association (STA) Starfish Award Scheme, and the STAnley Learn to Swim Series of Awards.
Our terms are 10 weeks long and run for 40 weeks of each year. Baba Seahorse Swim School is closed on Bank Holidays, Half Terms, and School Holidays. You shall be asked to confirm your place (Priority Booking) between weeks 6 to 8 of each term.

The whole team are members of the Swimming Teacher's Assocation (STA).
Baba Seahorse Swim School Limited are fully insured holding personal and public liability with employers' liability insurance.

- NaRS Pool Side Helpers (lifeguarding) being trained in CPR for adults, children and babies.
- Teaching Certificate for Beginners STC (B)
- Aquatic Teaching for Babies and Pre-School BPS
- Poolhelpers employed by Baba Seahorse hold the minimum of a NaRS Poolside Helper.
- Staff hold the CRB Enchanced Disclosure for working with children and vulnerable adults.
- We attend regular Emergency Evacuation Training, and Poolside Safety training for adults and infants.
