Baba Seahorse Baby, Toddler and Pre-School Swim School
Our baby and toddler swimming classes are held at warm water pools at venues based in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, and in Wolverhampton. We teach on Monday mornings, Saturdays and Sundays in Kidderminster, and Friday afternoons in Wolverhampton. We find that both parents like to join at weekends. All our classes are taught by an experienced and qualified teacher with a qualified lifeguard/Poolside Assistant. We are a STARFISH (www.sta.co.uk) recognised Swim School offering the official Water Safety Starfish Programme for babies moving onto the STAnley First Series awards for children when they are around 2 years old. We teach swimming classes for babies 0-2 years old, young toddlers 2-3 years old, and young children 4-6 years old. We also offer Underwater Photography sessions and more information about the Baba Seahorse Underwater Photography sessions shall follow in the coming weeks. Baby submersion is an important part of introducing babies to the water although it is not our dominant focus. It is important that both parent and baby are equally relaxed and comfortable with their enviroment and playmates before submersions take place. We are fully qualified to teach swimming to children and are members of the Swimming Teachers Association (STA). We are NaRS/RLSS trained in rescue and Basic Life Support along with any First Aid training for all teachers and pool helpers. All teachers and pool helpers are CRB checked with enhanced disclosure. Your child can start swimming with Baba Seahorse Swim School at any age from 2 months up to around 6 years. We do not use armbands or rubber rings. We aim to provide a fulfilling, flexible, fun and progressive structure for the child and parent. The parent always enters the water with their child and helps to facilitate their child's learning in the water. We then gradually develop your chid's swimming, stamina and confidence as they learn to swim independently. We find that this is very beneficial, particularly with children that are new to swimming, or are nervous and would prefer the security and reassurance of a parent in the water with them whilst they develop their confidence
